The Grunt

Specialist Justis Turnbow — Infantryman. Two combat deployments. One to Iraq and one to Afghanistan. Served with 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division on a PSD team, where every mission came with long roads, uncertainty, and trust in the men and women beside you. After deployment, continued serving with 3rd Squadron, 3rd Cavalry Regiment, carrying forward the lessons, brotherhood, and experiences that only military life can give you.

The Pig — Kenneth Kelly

SGT Kenneth Kelly is a Military Police veteran out of Nunica, Michigan who spent 13 years serving with the 978th MP Company, 4th Infantry Division, NATO 217th MP Detachment, and JTF Bravo — collecting five deployments along the way, three combat and two humanitarian, including Baghdad during the surge and Kandahar.

He's the MP half of this operation. The one civilians look at and say "oh you guarded the gate right?" He did not guard the gate.

Since hanging up the uniform he's built two careers — one as a professional DJ and one as a branding agent, which means he knows exactly how a message should look, sound, and land. That's why this site looks the way it does.

He started this podcast because veterans deserve straight talk from people who were actually there — on benefits, on business, on mental health, and on the stories that never made the news. The Grunt and The Pig is that conversation.
